Age-Friendly Alameda County

The Alameda County Social Services Agency (SSA) and Health Care Services Agency (HCSA) developed the age-friendly website at the request of the Alameda County Board of Supervisors, and in partnership with the Council for Age-Friendly Communities (Age Friendly Council), as a place to find support resources and learn about the County's age-friendly efforts.  

The site offers:

1. A central portal for resources available to Alameda County’s older adults and their caregivers
2. Information about Countywide age-friendly efforts, the Age Friendly Council, City-specific services, and updates from the World Health Organization/AARP Network of Age-Friendly Communities and the Area Agency on Aging (AAA)
3. Policy and planning resources including current data relevant to older adults, reports, and in-depth issue guides on special topics
4. Volunteer opportunities
5. COVID-19 resources for older adults… and more
